Top 5 Caribbean Boutique Resorts

Although I’ve been traveling extensively throughout Southeast Asia, the Caribbean is one of my favourite parts of the world. Due to the region’s pleasant year round weather, the Caribbean is a popular place for North Americans to go during the colder months in order to escape the plummeting temperatures back at home.

So, if sunny shores and luxurious accommodations are what you’ve found yourself seeking, here are some resorts that are ideal for beating the winter blues. Enjoy my pick for the Top 5 Caribbean Boutique Resorts

Top 5 Caribbean Boutique Resorts

Villa Beach Cottage in Castries, Saint Lucia

Although this charming beachfront hotel has been around since 1890, it has since been updated to provide guests with everything they might need during their stay. The first to make my top 5 Caribbean boutique resorts list, the Villa Beach Cottage in Castries, Saint Lucia is quite kid friendly and allows travelers under the age of 12 stay for free.

Babysitting is only one of the many services the staff offers. They can even arrange for travelers to dine at nice eateries in town, despite the fact that there is also an excellent restaurant on the premises. Since the building is only about 4 kilometers from the local airport, the taxi ride out here probably won’t break the bank either.

Petite Anse Hotel in Sauteurs, Grenada

This relatively affordable, family run establishment is one of my favourite of the top 5 Caribbean boutique resorts as it has only 11 guest rooms so travelers are assured of a peaceful and quiet stay. The Petite Anse Hotel in Sauteurs, Grenada is situated right on the shore, which allows travelers to have easy access to the beach. However, there is also a swimming pool for guests to use.

Dining onsite is another good option because the hotel chefs regularly serve up locally grown, seasonal produce as part of the establishment’s eco-friendly policies. This island is also such a lovely spot that couples who plan far enough in advance may even want to get married here.

Rock House near Eleuthera on Harbour Island in the Bahamas

Dating back to the 1940s, this lovely beachside hotel holds only nine suites so that guests here are sure to get the attention that they deserve. The rooms at Rock House contain amenities like Ipod docking stations and televisions as well as movies to watch during your stay if there happens to be nothing else on.

Making this one of the Top 5 Caribbean Boutique Resorts is, of course, the necessities are offered. The king sized beds found in every room are are luxuriously soft and comfortable sure to provide travelers with a good night’s sleep and the free Wi-Fi is a great way to brag about your stay to friends and family members over the course of your stay.

Jamaica Inn in Ocho Ríos, Jamaica

If children who act more like gremlins inhabit your holiday nightmares, this kids-free hideaway is definitely a top 5 Caribbean boutique resorts and a great spot to go to avoid that sort of chaos. The Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios, Jamaica has been in operation since the 1950s, but that doesn’t mean that travelers are expected to go without the modern conveniences found here such as onsite eateries, a gym, and an outdoor swimming pool.

Guest should also feel free to use the kayaking, snorkeling, and croquet supplies that are provided for them to use at no additional cost. Of course, the beach is also right outside the hotel building so that travelers can easily go swimming at any time of the day or night.

Montpelier Plantation & Beach in Charlestown on Nevis Island

This small gem has been in operation since 1966. However, a recent refurbishment has certainly succeeded in bringing new life to this old favorite. Montpelier Plantation & Beach in Charlestown on Nevis Island’s onsite restaurant not only provides tasty meals but also serves up fantastic views of the local landscape. One of my reasons for putting this great place on my Top 5 Caribbean Boutique Resorts is because travelers can either swim in the hotel’s amazing pool or soak up the rays at the private beach found nearby.

Babysitting, a hotel shuttle, and laundry services are just some of the amenities that are provided for those staying here. However, prospective guests with families should note that this particular hotel doesn’t welcome children under the age of eight and make their plans accordingly.
