After 6 years of traveling and exploring Southeast Asia it was time for me to be heading back to the US and onto a new journey of adventures in other parts of the world. My outbound flight would start in trendy Singapore at the Crowne Plaza Changi Airport.
Crowne Plaza Changi Airport
Singapore has many beautiful, luxurious hotels and resorts to choose from but I needed convenience too as my flight was leaving bright and early in the morning. After a little research I decided to spend my last night at Crowne Plaza Changi Airport. It’s extremely close to the airport (literally connected to terminal 3 with a tram that delivers you to the other two terminals) and the unmatched service from her exceptional staff, Crowne Plaza served as the perfect farewell venue.
Check-in was a breeze and my King Club Room, which included breakfast and free Internet access, was luxurious and extremely comfortable. Located adjacent to the rooftop pool, I spent my last day indulging in the many amenities the hotel has to offer.
Dining
Crowne Plaza offers Azure a modern restaurant that offers both Asian and Western cuisine. I enjoyed a lovely buffet that included everything from homemade pasta to fresh sushi. My favorite option was, of course, the extensive dessert display!
Open from 6:30 am to 10:30 pm you’ll never miss the chance to grab a quick bite or leisurely enjoy a full course meal. Of course if you’re too tired to go down to the restaurant the staff is happy do deliver in room dining from an extensive menu.
Imperial Treasure is located on level one of the hotel and serves authentic Cantonese lunch and dinner. Open from 12:00 noon to 10:30 pm make sure to drop in for some Asian favorites.
Spa and Fitness Center
The hotel offers guests a wonderful array of spa services to help you get ready for your travels or to ease your weary muscles after a long journey. From full body massages to foot massages their expert masseurs will make sure you leave Essence Vale feeling blissful.
The onsite fitness center is open 24 hours to accommodate any schedule. They have state of the art treadmills, stationary bikes, and free weights to keep you on track with your workouts while you’re away from home.
For those who need to stay connected to work, Crowne Plaza Changi Airport has a full service, 24 hour, staffed business center.
Shopping
Located in the basement and a convenient escalator ride from the lobby, an underground world of shops, restaurants, and grocery stores can be found when you realize that you’ve forgotten something vital to your travels. From milk to shoes to luggage can be found for the last minute shopper.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Crowne Plaza and would highly recommend it to both business and leisure travelers coming in and out of Singapore.
